The statistics are based on our 2002 and 2003 surgeries. We like to wait at least 6 months before compiling data. The results below are intended to give you realistic expectations after your initial LASIK surgery. I have not included any results after enhancements. All statistics below are based on vision without glasses.

First of all, to drive legally without glasses you need to have 20/40 vision. However, it is also important to know your chance of achieving 20/20 vision or your best potential vision without glasses. Most people like to know the likelihood that they will need an enhancement to fine tune their vision. Our enhancement rate over the last four years is 15%. Keep in mind that the patients in the statistics below who do not achieve 20/20 without glasses are quite happy. They can do most things, including driving a car without glasses. When absolutlely necessary they fine-tune their vision with glasses that are much thinner and attractive than their previous pair.
